Allan Clarke, the original lead singer and co-founder of The Hollies, is one of the most iconic voices of the British Invasion and classic rock era. Born in Salford, England, Clarke rose to fame in the 1960s alongside childhood friend Graham Nash, forming The Hollies and delivering a string of timeless hits like He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother, Bus Stop, and the gritty classic Long Cool Woman (In a Black Dress).
