On this Rules Free Radio with Steve Caplan, as we close out 2024, we’ll revisit some of the artists and music from this year including a few new ones from Club 8, The Jack Rubies, MonkeyCat, The On and Ons, Movieland, The Shang Hi Los, Juana Molina, and Go Dog Go. Andrew Bird and Madison Cunningham have come up with their version of the Buckingham Nicks album from 1973 and in the second hour we’ll hear some of those tunes side by side with songs from the original. Classics and in-betweens from Tom Petty, George Harrison, Wendi Dunlap, East Village, The Stones, Murray Head, The Black Hollies, David Crosby, Triptides, and others. In the third hour, we’ll remember Mike Brewer from the late 60s Folk Rock duo Brewer & Shipley and tabla master, Zakir Hussain.
