On the next Rules Free Radio with Steve Caplan, we’ve got a lot of new and recent releases to catch up on including brand new music by Echo & The Bunnymen, Shearwater with Laurie Anderson, King Princess, Cinder Well, Phoebe Bridgers, and others. We’ll start with an artist album spotlight of band from the San Francisco Bay area, The Morning Line. Their new album is called Stars. It comes out this fall. It’s a compilation with remastered versions of older music and a couple of new ones. We’ll hear several tunes from that album. In the second hour, we’ll remember the late Irish singer-songwriter, Glen Hansard with his solo music, The Swell Season, and his band The Frames. In the third hour, we’ll sample a couple from the new Rock-Jazz fusion album by Cindy Blackman Santana, which just came out. We’ll close with some very listenable, select, recent Jazz releases by Joe Lovano, Emmet Cohen, The Alternate Guitar Summit honoring guitarist Pat Martino, and a newly released collection by Chet Baker.
