The program traces how Branca’s experiments with alternate tunings, repetition, and large guitar ensembles shaped the sound of underground music and, eventually, much of the alternative rock that followed.The show has a look at the release of Sheena is a punk rocker as a single in the UK, and tells the history of the band between the two continents and how they were much more successful overseas than in the United States.
