Episode 622: The Unheard Music No. 622
Tuesdays 2pm – 5pm EST Rules Free Radio With Steve Caplan bombshellradio.com
On this weeks Rules Free Radio with Steve Caplan, we’ll hear new and recent music by Acapulco Lips, one from a 45th anniversary remastered album by The Soft Boys, The Photocopies, Kula Shaker, and Free Whenever.
In the second hour, we’ll listen to the music of the late Terry Reid, an English singer-songwriter and guitarist whose songs have been covered by many artists. We’ll hear a few of those versions and, of course, his music, including covers of songs by others.
In the last hour, we’ll remember Flaco Jimenez, whose distinctive accordion work was sought by all kinds of artists, not to mention his solo albums that feature some of the biggest names in music accompanying him. We’ll hear a cross-section of his music that helped define the Tex-Mex style from his early work with Doug Sahm to a recent release with him playing with Peter Rowan.
