Our new guest is Barry Adamson, one of the most prominent members of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds and Magazine. In the early nineties, he embarked on a prolific solo career and has since released many great, highly cinematic jazz-rock albums. Given the noirish quality of his music, it was only natural that David Lynch would call him to work on the “Lost Highway” soundtrack, for which Barry composed no less than four tracks (“Mr. Eddy’s Theme 1”, “Mr. Eddy’s Theme 2”, “Something Wicked This Way Comes [edit]”, and “Hollywood Sunset”). He kindly accepted to share fifteen of his favorite songs with us, and his selection is worth a seminar in modern music history.
