Rodney Cromwell Presents – Post Truth Pop Party Aired Dec 31st – 2016

We are very pleased to bring to you a special broadcast from an artist we have huge respect for Rodney Cromwell. We’ve featured a number of songs from Rodney’s own music catalogue on Bombshell Radio. Tonight Rodney hosts his favourites of 2016. I first read these selections on his Facebook and Spotify feeds and contacted Rodney and asked if he was open to hosting these tracks as an audio presentation for our station. To our amazement not only did he accept our offer he also DJ’d the songs spending some valuable Christmas time to put together this great mix.

Barry Snaith Presents The Inconsistent Jukebox …..Jukebox Aired Jan 28th 2017

This week our Bombshell Special Presentation comes from mega talented Barry Snaith brainchild of The Inconsistent Jukebox among other projects . Barry treats us to an array of his likes and influences. When we first received his music and read the attached bio, admittedly without even hearing a note we added to our next playlist. You see Barry has such an impressive resume that any true music fan would be hard pressed not to want to know more. A veteran of the music scene with his former band Strangeways he’s shared the stage with The Pretenders ,The Ramones, ,and Johnny Thunders. Now releasing music as The Inconsistent Jukebox and a few secret projects (which are exposed on this program for the first time) Barry’s music incarnations lift us to blissful distraction. And like so many of our Special Presentation artists Barry took the time to curate a musical journey that comes unique with his own personal stamp. Blending his inspirations/likes and giving voice to music that needs to be heard. Not to be missed.

Bombshell Radio Radio Guest Mix – Empathy Test

https://bombshellradio.com/bombshell-radio-radio-guest-mix-…/

Empathy Test and Bombshell Radio Addictions and Other Vices Podcast Present

Our second featured guest mix this week is Empathy Test. We’ve been fans of this group since the first song we were sent. Every track we receive always makes the Addictions Fix Mix , and quite often our Top 10 Countdown. We were thrilled when we contacted Empathy Test and they immediately accepted our request to put together something special. I personally would have liked to have seen some Empathy Test on this mix, and contacted them about the same, they returned “You asked for likes and influences -seemed a bit self indulgent to include ourselves in that.” So how could I argue? If you like this compilation then do your ears a huge favour and check out Empathy Test.http://www.empathytest.com/

The Fontaines and Bombshell Radio Present The Fontaines Bombshell Radio Guest Mix.

We are very happy to introduce to you this week LA band The Fontaines Bombshell Radio Guest Mix playing this week Saturday, Sunday Tuesday and Thursday check bombshellradio.com for airplay times. When we first heard The Fontaines we were drawn in by song titles of Famous Celebrities “Cate Blanchett” and “Dustin Hoffman” Then taken in by the quality and delivery of the songs themselves. The next track we discovered was The “Charlotte Fontaine” video. From that point every track met immediate approval for the Addictions Podcast and Bombshell Radio feeds.

They opted to not include their own tracks , so we strongly encourage you to seek out The Fontaines original works
However as an added bonus we’ve added a couple to the end of the mix, and tune into our next few Addictions and Other Vices shows to hear a few tracks we’ve also added from their catalogue. Enjoy!

The Fontaines are a brother-sister duo based in Los Angeles, California. Charlotte Fontaine (vocals) and Hank Fontaine (guitar) began writing new-wave influenced rock songs after growing up all over the world as kids. The siblings are backed by Chrystian Kaplan (drums) and Daniel Zuker (bass) live and in the studio.

In 2016 The Fontaines performed at music festivals including Savannah Stopover, Canadian Music Week, Broke LA, and Make Music Pasadena. In June, the band released their new EP, “ii,” which has gotten airplay on KROQ in Los Angeles. The band is currently finishing up their debut full-length album, set for release in 2017
